3rd Partner Meeting “Iron Curtain Trail: Sustainable mobility along the newest EuroVelo route” South East Europe Programme October 4th 2013, Thessaloniki, Greece
The third partner meeting of “Iron Curtain Trail” project was held in Thessaloniki, Greece, on Friday, October 4th 2013 with the participation of representatives of development organisations and non governmental organisations from South East Europe countries that participate in the project.

 

During the meeting, partners had the opportunity to discuss the progress of all work packages of the project as well as set their responsibilities towards the upcoming activities concerning the following project period.

Meeting sessions were mostly focused on partners’ current and future communication activities for the dissemination of “Iron Curtain Trail” project objectives and results, the development achieved concerning the update and the creation of action plans regarding EuroVelo 13 cycling routes as well as the progress achieved so far regarding the development of sustainable transport and tourism offers. Furthermore, project partners set their following steps concerning “Iron Curtain Trail” promotion and external communication, outcomes evaluation and follow-up activities. 

The partner meeting was the last of a three-day “Iron Curtain Trail”  meetings and events organised and hosted in Thessaloniki by  the greek project partner “ANTIGONE-Information and Documentation Center on Racism, Ecology, Peace and Non-Violence”. A partner meeting to indicate the itineraries of EuroVelo 13 cycling routes preceded on Wednesday, October 2nd 2013 while the following day, on October 3rd , the “Iron Curtain Trail” Half Time Conference was held in the New City Hall of Thessaloniki with the participation of project partners, national, regional and local authorities, cycling associations and other stakeholders active in providing cycling, transport and tourism services.
