After presentations by Westpannon (lead partner) and Burgenland (work package leader of WP 4), participants discussed the following points:
On the hungarian side, Westpannon plans to elaborate a cross-border touristic package based on GIS application (Google Maps or comparable) that will include attaractions, accomodations, ccyling friendly services and sustainable transport offers as well. Hungarian partners and Burgenland will provide input data for this. The sustainable and good quality management of the database needs further consultations.
Burganeland presented existing offers in sustainable tourism and transport in the area. Participants discussed streghts and weaknesses, and tasks ahead to develop offers in the framework of ICT project.
Burgenland Tourism Organisation (Burgenland Tourismus) had two suggestions:
- The Austrian touristic information systems Alpstein-Info and APP could also receive and present data and information on offers and packages related to the Iron Curtain Trail.
- An information and coordination system for regional bicycle taxis in Südburgenland could be one of the sustainable touristic offers in the area.
