Iron Curtain Trail project in the 78th Thessaloniki International Fair
Guests of the 78th Thessaloniki International Fair had the opportunity to be informed on the South East Europe (SEE) Programme “Sustainable mobility along the newest Eurovelo Route, the Iron Curtain Trail (ICT)” project that on national level is being implemented by “ANTIGONE-Information and Documentation Center on Racism, Ecology, Peace and Non-Violence” in the regions of Central and Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. As a member of the Network of Voluntary Organisations of Thessaloniki, Ecological Movement of Thessaloniki (National Coordination Center EuroVelo) that collaborates with ANTIGONE for the implementation of the project, had a presence in the fair to present “Iron Curtain Trail” project.

 

Currently, a survey of the route is ongoing in the prefectures of Serres and Drama where a new route that has been proposed by  Ecological Movement of Thessaloniki is to be included in the final route. After its completion, a route survey in Evros prefecture will follow.

Furthermore, “Iron Curtain Trail” project conference and partners meeting is scheduled to take place in Thessaloniki on October 3rd - 4th 2013.
